Job Description Software Architect – Tech Lead Architecture Consulting team is a group of experienced hands-on architects that helps, mentors and cooperates with teams across Air Solutions development. We cooperate in a short term (typically 3 months) engagement model with different product teams to tackle non-functional and architectural challenges that varies from performance improvements to full end-to-end CI/CD automation. Even if Java based solutions are our main focus, in a day to day work we deal with a wide spectrum of technologies like cloud (AWS and Azure), python, bash, virtual networking to name a few. While our job is very challenging, requires constant learning and good inter-personal skills, it gives unique opportunity to constantly improve skills, extend technical and business knowledge and get a lot of recognition within company. Position opportunities: cooperation with stakeholders to find optimal technical solutions for business challenges application architecture design and hands-on implementation existing systems reviews and redesigns development process optimization and team productivity improvement practical application of industry standards in diverse development teams analysis and introduction of new technologies and innovation driving in-depth vast systems diagnostics and thorough root cause analysis Job Requirements Expert level knowledge of Java platform: 5 years of experience in software development in Java. Spring Framework (including Spring MVC, Spring Security and SpringBoot) Integration frameworks (e.g. Apache Camel) JVM optimization, monitoring and diagnostic programming in multithreaded environment Working knowledge of Linux (UNIX) operating system Linux (UNIX) architecture and design networking including virtual networking system monitoring and problem diagnostic command-line tools and scripting (bash, Python or others) Practical knowledge of distributed systems microservices design patterns (resilience, 12 factors) container frameworks (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker) messaging and event sourcing (Kafka, AMQ) Good working knowledge of databases SQL (Oracle, MySql) NoSql (document and columnar databases) database CAP Good working knowledge of Web application development presentation technologies (HTML5, JavaScript/ReactJS) web protocols (HTTP, gRPC) Practical knowledge of cloud services cloud automation (e.g. AWS Cloud Formation) cost tracking and optimization networking and security Deployment automation basics One of Ansible, Chief or Puppet Deep understanding of software development processes and practices software lifecycle non-functional requirements continuous integration and continuous deployment Good communication and inter-personal skills Why it is worth working with us?
